Theme parks give adults full permission to be kids again! Check out these incredible parks scattered around the world.
Disney
When people think theme parks, they think Disney. That’s only natural…the company operates some of the most successful parks world wide. But you don’t have to stop at California (Disneyland and California Adventure) or Florida (Disney World–Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom) as Disney has properties world wide including in France (Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios), China (Shanghai Disneyland), Hong Kong (Hong Kong Disneyland), and Tokyo (Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea). Of these, Tokyo DisneySea gets high marks for their uniqueness and originality.
Universal
Another big name in the theme park realm is Universal. Again, no need to be confined to Florida (Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure) or California (Universal Studios Hollywood), you can also visit Universal properties in Japan, China, and Singapore. Though Universal offers a variety of incredible attractions, they’re probably best known for their incredible representations of the world of Harry Potter.
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Fans of the 1983 movie National Lampoon’s Vacation will recognize this theme park as the stand-in for Wally World! Don’t worry, there’s plenty to do…as the park boasts that it has the most rollercoasters of any park in the world.
Europa Park
Want to experience all of Europe in a day? Europa Park in Germany has over a dozen themed areas centered around zones in Europe…and it doesn’t skimp on the rollercoasters either!
Efteling
Fans of folklore and fairytales will love Efteling park in the Netherlands where you are invited to step into the pages of all the stories from your childhood.
Ferrari World
What about a theme park centered around cars??? The indoor Ferrari World theme park in the United Arab Emirates claims to have the fastest rollercoaster in the world. Which seems fitting.
Tivoli Gardens
If you’re looking for more elegance than adventure, the over 175 year old Tivoli Gardens in Denmark offers classic rides set amongst beautiful gardens and theaters.
Silver Dollar City
Step back in time at Silver Dollar City in Missouri. You can watch artisans at work, enjoy food and music, and of course partake in a few thrilling rides while you’re there.
Dollywood
Food, music, and fun…all surrounded by the beautiful Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.
Les Machines de L’ile
Maybe not exactly a full theme park (yet?), but this amazing installation of mechanical animals in France is ever evolving and well worth a visit!
