What to drink at an all-inclusive if you’re not drinking….

Traditionally, all-inclusive resorts are associated with copious amounts of alcohol. But…what if you’re not drinking??? No matter why you’re avoiding alcohol, you can still have a great time with these non-alcoholic beverages.

Non-alcoholic versions

Many classic resort drinks can easily be made non-alcoholic. Blended drinks like daiquiris and pina coladas area always popular choices…and mojitos are equally as tasty without the rum. Some all-inclusives even offer a special non-alcoholic drink menu. You can also always ask you bartender for suggestions!

Fresh Juices

Take advantage of all the wonderful local fruits and enjoy some fresh juices.

Agua Fresca

In Mexico and Central America you’ll also commonly find agua fresca. Usually, a mixture of fruit, lime, water, and a little sweetener, this can be a great, refreshing option for those looking to avoid or cut down on their alcohol consumption. (They’re also super easy to make at home!)

Hibiscus Infusions and Tamarind Water

Two more great non-alcoholic options that you’ll find through Mexico and the Caribbean are hibiscus teas/infusions and tamarind water. Hibiscus is frequently paired with other spices such as cinnamon or anise and often served sweet, while tamarind water is super refreshing with its slightly tart and sour notes.

Coffee drinks

Most resorts often offer a variety of specialty coffee drinks including lattes, mochas, and more!

Water

Don’t forget to drink plenty of water!!! With the heat and humidity, it’s easy to become dehydrated. Consider packing some of your favorite water flavorings or electrolyte packets to add to your drink. Or, order a soda and lime…and no one will be any the wiser that you’re abstaining.
