Parking in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Eureka Springs is a fun, vibrant, eclectic destination in northwest Arkansas.  But it’s also a bit of a nightmare to navigate.  The roads were definitely not made for my large SUV!  Narrow streets and steep hills make providing enough parking for visitors a bit of a challenge!  Here’s a handy guide of where to park during a trip to Eureka Springs.

Parking lots along Main Street

There are a large number of small lots along Main Street.  While each lot only holds a limited number of cars, put together there is enough parking for approximately 600 vehicles.  Some of these lots are owned by the city…others are privately owned…and prices and time limits can vary between them.  Most are cash payment only, though some city owned lots will accept payment through Passport Parking (see metered parking below).

Metered parking along Spring Street

Parking along Spring Street is limited, but if you do end up with one of these parking spaces you’ll conveniently be right in the middle of everything.  These parking spaces are metered and run by the city.  Eureka Springs uses Passport Parking, an online app that makes paying for your parking a breeze.

Welcome centers

One of the easiest ways to park and get around town is to make one of the Welcome Centers (Transit and Welcome Center or Planer Hill Park and Ride Welcome Center) your first stop.  You can park here and then use the trolleys for a small fee.

Hotel parking

If you’re staying at one of the downtown hotels, your hotel may offer parking.  However, the designated parking is not always close to the hotel’s actual physical location!  You may want to check into the parking situation before you go.  Some hotels also offer shuttles to other areas of town so that you don’t have to take you own vehicle (and figure out where to park!).
