Desert Dome

Inside a cool (hot!) geodesic greenhouse, you can find plants and animals from three distinct desert environments (Africa, Australia, and the United States).

Lied Jungle

Hike and explore the rainforest all conveniently located indoors.  Plants and animals fill the multistory space including free flying fruit bats (watch out for guano!).

Kingdom of the Night

Descend into darkness under the desert dome!  Here you’ll find nocturnal creatures going about their daily (nightly) business as you travel through bat filled caves and a cabin in the swamp.

Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium

From penguins to jellyfish, this aquarium includes a wide variety of water based exhibits…including a 70 foot tunnel where you can watch sharks and rays swim over your head.

Asian Highlands

This highly themed area takes you on a trek high into the Asian mountains to a Yeti camp where you’ll encounter all sorts of animals along the way including tigers and takins.

African Grasslands

On your way to a bush camp, you’ll see tons of African animals…large and small.  You can even get an inside peek at how the giraffes and elephants live when they’re not in their outdoor enclosures.

Simmon’s Aviary

A bird watcher’s paradise!  Walk through this huge free flight aviary that houses a multitude of beautiful bird species.

Lagoon Island

During the summer, these islands provide outdoor space for some of the zoo’s primates.  Watch them swing through the branches around you.
