Ever thought about writing a screenplay?
In addition to keeping up with Finding Fantastic Beasts, I’m in the beginning stages of a new project called “Work In Progress: A Peer-Guided Introduction to Screenwriting.”
Structured as a self-guided course (complete with assignments!), WIP will teach you all the basics you need to know to get started writing your own screenplays! Formatting. Structure. Character Development. Dialogue. Etc.
By the end, you’ll have read and analyzed multiple professional screenplays, written a handful of your own short scripts, outlined a full length project (TV or film), and discovered more about who you are as a writer!
A welcome as well as the first three ‘lessons’ (Who are you as a writer?, Where do ideas come from?, and Technical Basics) are currently available. The fourth installment (Story Structure) will be available by the end of the month. Subsequent lessons (17 in total) will be released on a monthly basis.
