Anheuser-Busch Brewery
The oldest of the Budweiser breweries, the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Saint Louis offers a variety of tours to choose from depending on your interests. The base tour is free, though specialty tours may incur a fee. You’ll tour the facility to see the brewing process from beginning to end…and make a special stop to visit some of the Clydesdales in their fancy stable. Saint Louis Zoo
Free to visit, the Saint Louis Zoo is a great way to spend an afternoon! The collection houses over 12,000 animals, so everyone in your group is sure to find a favorite.
Missouri Botanical Garden
Featuring a variety of gardens from desert landscapes to a tropical oasis, the Missouri Botanical Garden is a must see for plant lovers…and those with less of a green thumb alike.
City Museum

Try the local food
Saint Louis isn’t probably the first place you think of when you think of a foodie city. But the city offers a variety of cuisines and restaurants to choose from. While you’re there, check out some of the Saint Louis classics including toasted ravioli, St. Louis style pizza, and gooey butter cake.
Forest Park
Bigger and perhaps even more beautiful than Central Park in New York, Forest Park is an expansive greenspace just waiting to be explored. It’s also home to several of the other ‘things to do’ on this list including: the Missouri History Museum, the Muny theater, the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Saint Louis Science Center, and the Saint Louis Zoo.

The Saint Louis Art Museum features works of art, textiles, and furniture from around the world and throughout the ages.
Saint Louis Aquarium
Located in the old Union Station downtown, the Saint Louis Aquarium showcases the wonders of the water…from the banks of a lazy river to the deepest depths of the ocean floor.
The Magic House
The Magic House, Saint Louis’s children’s museum, offers a variety of themed and interactive rooms for children to explore and enjoy.

Located in a 1905 post office, the Missouri Civil War Museum documents the state’s involvement in the Civil War.
Old Courthouse
Visit the Old Courthouse and learn about its part in key court cases regarding slavery and women’s suffrage.
Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis
Though impressive enough from the outside, be sure to step inside and marvel at the incredible mosaic walls inside the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis.

Cahokia Mounds
A short drive outside of Saint Louis, you can encounter the remains of an ancient civilization at the Cahokia Mound site. A video and interpretive center bring the site back to life…and visitors are welcome to climb up the largest mound for an incredible view.
Lewis and Clark Hiking Trail
Also a short drive outside the city, you can spend a day hiking the Lewis and Clark hiking trail in the Weldon Spring nature reserve. Both short and long routes are available on this looped trail making it perfect for everyone.

Scott Joplin House
A frozen moment in time, the Scott Joplin house preserves the structure exactly as it was in 1902 when the composer lived there.
