A trip to Disney can be expensive. Use these tips to help save money during your vacation.
Stay at a value resort
Disney has a wide variety of hotel options available and there are definite benefits to staying on site (Magical Express…Extra Magic Hours…etc). While the impressively themed premium hotel options are certainly tempting, consider how much time you’re actually going to spend in your hotel room before you book. If you plan on spending most of your time in the parks, consider one of Disney’s value resorts.
Eat at counter service restaurants
Disney World has some of the most amazing restaurants of any theme park in the world, but also some of the most expensive! You can save time and money by eating at quick service/counter service restaurants…and still get some incredible meals!
Share meals
Meals at many of the quick service/counter service restaurants are big enough to share…and still make sure no one goes hungry!
Consider grocery delivery
Breakfast and snacks are easy to pack in your purse or day bag and can cut down on extra spending at the parks. But you don’t have to waste precious suitcase space on food. There are convient delivery services that can bring grocery staples directly to your room. Many will even deliver alcoholic beverages.
Bring your own water bottle
Florida is hot! Don’t waste extra money by buying bottled water. Bring your own reusable bottle and save money…and the planet. The parks have special water bottle filling stations where you can replenish your supply.
Give kids a daily allowance
Disney is full of fabulous things to buy. Let kids have some responsibility for their own spending habits. Give them a daily allowance…so they can purchase small items of their own choice each day…or save up for something bigger. Disney gift cards are a great and fun way to help kids with their budget.
